There are several estates in the entire island where the volcanic soil and the wonderful climate facilitate the growth of wine grapes. While we were preparing our itinerary for Santorini, we also included wine tours because they are quite popular in the island. Almost all tourists coming to this island either go on a private wine tour or small group wine tasting tour.

We decided to book a Santorini wine tasting tour which would not only take us through the various estates but also allow us to dine in the finest way while watching the sunset and enjoying the wines. In this upcoming discussion, we will present a brief glance of what we experienced in the Santorini wine tour and the places we visited.

Easy pick-up and drop at the hotel

The first thing that we would like to share is our experience with the transportation. After having a light breakfast, we were picked from the hotel itself. We didn’t have to wait or look here and there for the transport because the driver was on time and we were immediately notified once he reached our hotel. At the end of our tour, we were dropped off at the hotel safely by the same driver.

Visiting the three best wine estates

Our wine tour ended with a fine dining arrangement with the sunset as the backdrop. We could see the vast agricultural lands and the horizon where the sky was filled with hues of orange and red. In addition to the wonderful food, we also enjoyed the wines coming straight from the wineries that we visited.
